We grew up with Saturday mornings, magic, science fiction, fantasy, and adventure. We longed for stories that could unite families, friends, and fans, and that could celebrate imagination and originality. But no one was making the stories we wanted to see.
Saturday Originals is our labor of love, a brand that embodies the wonder and playfulness of Saturday mornings in the 80s, and that creates stories and characters that resonate with young kids and families who love science fiction and fantasy content.
We're here to bring magic to all, to inspire creativity, imagination, and family togetherness, and to show that the power of storytelling can change the world.
REMEMBER THE MAGIC OF SATURDAY MORNINGS?
Waking up and rushing to the living room, blanket in hand, to sit in front of the TV with our favorite bowl of sugary cereal, wearing superhero pyjamas, ready to escape into familiar and new imaginary worlds. On Saturday mornings, we could be who we wanted to be, and anything was possible.
Today, our cereal might be a little less sweet, and the way we crowd around our favorite shows has changed, a lot.. Saturdays however, are still just as magical and special as they’ve always been. Selfishly, we wanted everyday to be Saturday morning, so we built it that way. Our studio creates stories that make families want to get together and feel some of that magic themselves.
Part of the Digital Dimension Entertainment Group (DDEG), Saturday Originals sister company is Saturday Animation, an animation studio (www.saturdayanimation.com). We create these stories with the goal of bringing universes and characters to life through animated series and feature films. From telling memorable stories, designing iconic characters for major studios and developing cutting edge technology for multiple platforms and software, our crew has more tools on their belt than your average superhero.
Our Comic Books are the way of telling our stories, with hopes that readers will follow us along the adventure, connecting with other fans, so we can all experience the journey together.
